Deborah S. Gibbon, Shareholder

Debbie Gibbon is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA).  She is also accredited in Business Valuation (ABV) and certified in Financial Forensics (CFF) through the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).  She specializes in helping clients and their attorneys through the myriad of financial issues they face in a divorce case. In addition to expert testimony, Ms. Gibbon works to assess marital net worth, value privately held businesses and assist with mediation as well as settlement negotiations.  Having previously worked as a tax manager with Arthur Andersen, she is familiar with tax issues related to divorce and has been practicing for more than 30 years.  Ms. Gibbon also provides services as a financial neutral in the collaborative law process. She graduated cum laude from Illinois State University with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting, where she earned multiple leadership and scholastic awards.

Debbie has provided advice on divorce financial matters to hundreds of clients over her career and has been qualified as an expert in multiple jurisdictions in Georgia.  Ms. Gibbon has been a frequent speaker on complex divorce issues, divorce taxation, and business valuation.  She has presented these topics to attorneys and judges across the state of Georgia.  Her speaking engagements include presentations to the Atlanta Bar Association, the annual Family Law Institute, the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, the Georgia Society of CPAs, and the Financial Planning Association of Georgia.  She is a member of the American Institute of Public Accountants (AICPA), the Georgia Society of CPAs (GSCPA) and the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts (NACVA).
